#144 Missed my flight…

This morning I woke up at 5:15 to catch a 6am flight from Boston to Austin…

Not gonna work.

Luckily I was able to snatch a 12pm flight the same day which got me thinking.

Accidents happen, and it’s easy to dwell on why it sucks, what it means and yada yada..

But, you can also opt to stay in the moment. Resolve whatever needs to be done (get your work shift covered, apologize to someone, etc) and as soon as possible begin to focus on the positive. For example, although I missed a flight I was able to get another one a few hours later and get a few more Z’s.

Life doesn’t always work out the way we want, although we can have a massive impact on the direction it goes. The ability to flow and stay present gives you the ability to handle a greater variety of challenges. A wise man once told me “to live in the past is to suffer twice” and it’s true!

Too often, we allow our past mistakes to get the better of us and manifest in the form of regret which only takes away from what we need to do. Let go and let be, sometimes the worst failures turn out to be blessings in disguise.

Here is a story about how a horrific football injury may have been a good thing.
