#150 Energy
As someone known for having a relatively rigid routine, I have found that over the past month or so it has somewhat dissolved..
Perhaps it’s the traveling, or laziness, or the natural complacency that we develop but it got me thinking.
Energy. We all possess a limited amount that can be devoted to each of our pursuits. For some, it’s to work a 9-5 so they can eat junk and watch Netflix the rest of the day while others choose to eat nothing but kale and have 4 percent body fat their whole lives..
But, there comes a time where your good habits can come crashing to a halt. Life so has it that our priorities change taking breathing exercises or reading from being your most important ritual to being the last thing on your mind.
What can we do about it? Hone in on what your chief aim is and accept that it will change.. Sometimes it’s as simple as a re-evaluation of what’s really important to you. Other times it’s understanding that while you enjoy practicing guitar, spending time with your kids is where you’d rather devote yourself.
The journey is never ending but our needs are very simple. There is no right and wrong for the most part but rather appropriate and inappropriate at the moment based on your goals.
